Still as numerous bettors

The French online games market is on the rise during this third quarter. Sports betting, horse betting and poker posted satisfactory figures with Gross Gaming Product reaching 346 million euros, a jump of 28%. In this list, poker remains the most profitable since the GGR amounts to 66 million euros, including an increase of 11% over a period of one year. A strong increase which can be explained by the rate of influx of users on the various platforms. There is no shortage of formulas and attracts thousands of enthusiasts around the world. It goes without saying that cash game tables and tournaments contribute to this success. Currently, the SnG format alone accounts for 85% of the volume. The percentage increases to 14% to the tune of 45 million euros and 5% for the cash game for 21 million euros. The Online Gaming Regulatory Authority (ARJEL) said the number of players is exploding, making poker a very promising market.

According to the figures, the number of active players per week has increased by 8%. Compared to the first half of the year, the scale of growth is twice as high, with approximately 256,000 accounts each week participating in poker games compared to 238,000 registered last year. In all, 643,000 active players logged in during tournaments organized by operators. ARJEL issued its conclusions by affirming that the poker segment remains the only activity which totals a significant number of players.

In short, the poker industry is far from running out of steam, particularly through the various tournaments organized by online poker sites. The list of cash game players continues to grow including mostly regulars of the circuit. French poker still has a bright future ahead of it with the opening of Parisian clubs.
